studied ballet with Gisela Doria in a RAD school. In 1999, as a scholarship student did Perfoming Arts at Portsmouth College. BA in “Comunicação das Artes do Corpo” (Performing Arts) at PUC-SP, São Paulo Catholic University. Created “Curral de Apartação” in collaboration with Marta Soares, performance which have toured in São Paulo. In 2006 got the Postgradutate Certificate: Dance in Community at Laban Centre, London where she was awarded with the Simone Michelle prize for outstanding choreography. Mareu, has interpreted for Yukio Waguri, Zelia Monteiro, Umberto da Silva, Helena Bastos, Lara Pinheiro, Firak di Beloo and Rosemary Branch. Has participated in many dance workshops around the world. From 2007 to 2010 she was the artistic coordinator and teacher of Deborah Colker’s Movement Centre in Rio de Janeiro. Awarded with the support of Brazilian culture minister and ImPulsTanz Festival, she participated in many choreographic residencies and workshops in Vienna, 2010. Currently, she is living in Montpellier where she frequents the Centre Choregraphie directed by Mathilde Monnier, teaches workshops in Lyon and develops an artistic research with Verena Kutschera .
